Garrett Rhyasen is Vice President of Oncology Search & Evaluation at GSK, where he leads a team of BD professionals responsible for sourcing, technical evaluation, and business case delivery of partnering opportunities.
Prior to GSK, Garrett was Executive Director of and Global Head of Oncology Search & Evaluation and Transactions at AstraZeneca (AZ). During his tenure, Garrett was instrumental in the delivery of numerous discovery partnerships, clinical collaborations, acquisitions and licensing agreements, including AZ’s $6bn co-development/co-promotion deal with Daiichi Sankyo for datopotamab deruxtecan, a potential best-in-class TROP2 antibody drug conjugate.
Prior to AZ, Garrett held various business development roles at Bristol Myers Squibb and Curis, Inc. Garrett received his BSc from the University of Victoria, PhD in Cancer Biology from the University of Cincinnati, and completed Postdoctoral research at AstraZeneca. Garrett is an inventor on four patents and author of 11 peer-reviewed journal articles related to the field of cancer biology.
